This kitchen studio has a non-standard layout, and all because that it was formed by combining two apartments, an area of 44 and 99 sq. m. As a result, in addition to five bedrooms, one large spacious room, and even with ceilings of 2.5 m. Studio Interior 3D Group at the request of the customer has developed a design in modern classic style in which luxury and comfort are in in equal proportions.
A wall with bare brickwork is not often found in classic interior, right? Rather Scandinavian design or the loft may claim such decoration, however, in this interior even a brick looks by the way.
Several design life hacks:
1. Imitate a brick
The owners wanted to see the brickwork, but the factory bricks were too perfect: even angles, smooth surface. To achieve The effect of the old masonry was possible due to gypsum. It was made several castings with different textures for a more believable imitations. Top “masonry” was coated with matte varnish.
2. Create panels
The relief plates on one of the walls of the living room are not plates at all. These are MDF strips glued to the wall, and then painted in one color with the wall.
3. Wooden floor heating
The fact that the tree and the warm floor of the phenomenon are incompatible, the owners apartments learned from the designer. But since the grid has already been laid, and they didn’t want to give up the tree, the designer suggested tiles, the surface of which is made “under the tree”. To make the imitation look as best as possible, tile laying was done traditional for parquet Christmas tree pattern.
