There is no limit to delight! Seeing this creation, female half GD-Home thought about her age. Well, always stay baby, for a moment, great ability, not all mastered ♥! So ladies sit back, let’s start our Master Class. The idea of creating a dollhouse from an old suitcase owned by a blogger, mom and owner of a vintage children’s store Stacy’s clothes. She loves to sew, especially for her two daughters. This house has three interchangeable rooms, a secret place for storage of clothes + you can take it with you. See more ideas by remaking an old suitcase here.
What you need: – a suitcase – Whatman – Styrofoam – colored fabric – felt – double-sided tape – paper – scissors – glue gun – threads, ribbons – sewing machine
Step one: Prepare the basis for the “wallpaper”. First, measure the inside of the lid of the suitcase and cut from a Whatman paper three suitable-sized sheets.
Important: Steps 2 through 4 will relate to only “kitchens”, the interior of other rooms must be created by following the same instructions.
Step Two: Draw a room with everyone little things: furniture, appliances, dishes, lamps, etc., and then cut them.
Step Three: Use Templates to Transfer “Interior elements” on felt. After cutting out everything you need, glue them to the “wallpaper” (colored fabric) using double-sided tape. “Wallpaper” should be 3-4 cm wider and longer than whatman paper. it necessary so that they can be well fixed.
Step Four: Sew everything you need. Perhaps something will be missing to complete the design of the room, but you can always add this.
Step Five: It is a beautiful picture that creates details, so do not be lazy and think over everything that is possible. Add embroidered parts as needed. Also will be by the way different textures and a little shine.
Step Six: After everything is sewn and you will be completely and immensely satisfied, it’s time to stick the “wallpaper” to whatman sheets. To do this, use a glue gun. AND be sure to stick the tape on one side so that the interiors could be easily changed. All “rough work” (side where glued tape) hide with another sheet of paper and glue.
Step Seven: Prepare the floor in the same way like walls (whatman, cloth and glue), but instead of whatman it is better Use thin foam. Glue the ribbon in the same way, so that it can be easily removed.
At the bottom of the suitcase you can store everything you need. For instance, Stacy arranged a wardrobe there. By the way, she’s beautiful outfits modeled by herself. Milota!
