Luxury residence built on one of the islands of the state Massachusetts, which is surrounded by the ocean on all sides. Project goal was the creation of a residence that perfectly interacts with surrounding landscape and creates comfortable living conditions. The owners are a small family of five. The house is divided into two parts. In the first half is the kitchen, dining room and living room, in the second – seven bedrooms and four bathrooms. Of any window of the house offers a beautiful view of the world.
In order to minimize environmental impact the residence was built using eco-technologies: – Green roof. The flat roof was covered with greenery so that improve thermal performance. – Rainwater harvesting. Via rainwater gutters into the drainage basin, and from there into underground tanks. It is used for irrigation and fire protection. – Infrared floors. This heating system is based using the properties of natural natural heat – infrared spectrum of sunlight. – Natural ventilation. It is carried out thanks to a large number of windows and wooden the facade.
