Students of the Frank Loyd Wright School of Architecture as final offer to design a mini-house in the desert Scottsdale, Arizona. Every year, students continue to surprise and offer new interesting ideas. In 2013, a special the attention of experts was drawn by the work of Devon Frasi. He designed mini-house called “Miner’s Shelter”.
For the construction, he used concrete blocks, sheets of steel, stone and glass. Rust on steel is present for a reason, and designed to visually combine the mini-home with the surrounding terrain. In order to provide a lot of light during the day two the walls of the house are made of glass only. At night for the same purpose you can use candles and oil lamp. Interior decoration consists of gypsum and birch plywood. Rough plastering continues the idea of a cave in the desert. The area of the house is so small that you can fit only the bed. From the entrance side the house is surrounded by a mountain ridge McDowell.
Usually after passing the exam, the houses are taken apart, but the work of Devon Frazy is so blended with the surrounding landscape that it was decided save.
