In one of the villages of Portugal, at the base of Sintra Hill, an architect Pedro Quentela developed this project. A few years ago it was almost the ruins of a rural house with a small yard, but Pedro managed to transform it and add a touch of romance here. This house he found by chance and by all means decided to restore it. To begin with, he found a master to whom he demonstrated his interest in the ruins and explained the essence of his intervention. All purchases the architect took over and, of course, the former owners were perplexed by such enthusiasm.
House restoration took a lot of time. Doing it a team of five people, each step of which was controlled by himself architect. This pickiness helped Pedro get to know every nook and stone, discover relics past and watch the restoration of new life. In order to maintain design identity, it was decided to use local pine, granite, as well as those materials that could reuse. Pedro certainly managed to keep the spirit of this place and turn it into a cozy, bright and unique home!
