The highlight is the terrace with blooming lavender and beautiful overlooking the green landscape of Alt Empordà. It is a natural flowering region of Spanish Catalonia.
Architect Damian breathed new life into an old stone house Ribas. He was rebuilding a mansion for a seed couple with children, who for many years dreamed of moving to the countryside to be closer to nature. The walls were rebuilt and re-painted windows are replaced, redevelopment touched only a few rooms. IN The result of the design was a gentle interior with notes of Provence. A kind of Spanish spirit.
In order not to disturb the atmosphere of this place, almost everything materials were purchased in the same village. Wooden furniture was made either by a local carpenter to order, or bought in Ikea. For finishes used microcement, which was then painted in milky white color. As the architect himself says, this color is much more pleasant and warmer than cold white.
Large windows in the living room create a feeling of proximity to the garden. “You you can read or chat, and then notice that the green landscape very close, as if you’re on the street, ”Damian says. – Even in winter it’s perfect. ”
