This style was born in workshops and factories in New York and for 70 years migrated far beyond the American continent. Today’s apartment is located in Bulgaria. She belongs to a couple creative people – architect Dimitar Karanikolov and designer Venete Nikolova, who worked and lived in London for several years, after which they returned to their native Sofia. They bought a small but an interesting attic and for two years engaged in its reconstruction. They designed furniture, experimented with decoration and the details.
The central object in the apartment is a black cube, trimmed concrete panels. Once it was an elevator shaft, today – a bathroom room.
The problem for the couple was the location of the apartment, since the large part of it was in front of the neighbors. In order to do the space is more private, they decided to use aluminum panels and greens, equipping a certain fence. In the end they got a beautiful terrace with a green garden.
